Technical Project Manager – Plastic Injection Molding

About This Job

  • Provide project leadership, coordinate, and direct a project team and/or resources to develop, qualify, and effectively launch new custom injection molded projects.
  • Act as leader/champion of a project specific launch utilizing the New Product Introductions (NPI) process.
  • Act as project specific point of contact for internal and external customers.
  • Create, manage, and drive activities to a project plan and manage project budget and timelines.
  • Manage and coordinate new mold design, build and qualifications; manage and coordinate secondary automation and equipment designs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and business development efforts.
  • Support production jobs and perform other tasks/projects as needed.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in plastic injection molding (mold/machine set-up, process development, troubleshooting, mold design and manufacture).
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Superior analytic ability and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Knowledge of Scientific Molding principles.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products and project management software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing statistics including: SPC, design of experiments, and capability studies.
