Manufacturing Engineer – Plastic Injection Molding

About This Job

  • Emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and introduce automation solutions, and manage all aspects of design, build, and implementation of solutions.
  • The Manufacturing Engineer will create an efficient manufacturing assembly line, specifying and/or refining BOMs, workflow processes, and detailed work instructions.
  • Manage and lead continuous improvement projects, as well as mentoring and coaching employees on continuous improvement, Lean and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Provide technical support analyzing and/or performing failure analysis for discrepant production components, assemblies, and/or field returns.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will have 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with a focus on automation and robotics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, Industrial or Manufacturing preferred.
  • Must have electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical skills associated with the design, build, and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Must have experience with the design and build of EOATs, as well as the operation of Cartesian robots and/or COBOTs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Robust knowledge and prior implementation of Lean principles.
